In honor of this pickled prize, the gnome of which you have located comes with a very specific quest.

You must email your very own written, visual, or other artwork to berlinfolklore@gmail.com along with a picture of the gnome as validation that you have claimed and secured its little lore gnome body.

Your work will be featured in the subsequent phases of this living art project, further carrying on the local lore!

Downtown, on Philadelphia Avenue, beach days blur into neon evenings and the scent of Old Bay drifts through the coastal air. Hidden in plain sight, often with very expensive bikes showcased out front, is a beloved local landmark known as Pickles Pub.

Open year-round and humming well past midnight, Pickles has long been a gathering ground for locals, late-night wanderers, and sunburned beachgoers looking to keep the night alive and hustle some PA boys in a game of billiards.

In terms of local lore, legend has it that it was here where the pickle shot was born, a bold concoction of vodka and briny pickle juice that has since traveled far beyond the sweet and salty dunes of Ocean City.
