Phenomena like the green flash and dolphins in the bay contribute to the sandy sunburnt culture of places like our Ocean City, Maryland.

Stories passed down between surfers, bartenders, and those who once roamed the place we used to call Shantytown are the fabric of our coastal folklore.

There is a sound that only the soul can hear after a night of drinking, watching the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean, while most people are still sleeping.

The purpose of the Gnomes of Ocean City Living Art Project is not only to tell the tales of local coastal folklore, but to capture more lore in the submissions made by the finders of the gnomes themselves!
